I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Deakin University, Australia, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Monash University Australia. Additionally, I am a proud member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
My professional journey commenced in 1995 when I embarked on a role as a Business Development Manager. Through dedication and perseverance, I advanced within the company and was eventually promoted to the position of Director at Bartleet Produce Marketing. In 2014, I had the honor of being appointed as the Group Managing Director of Bartleet Group. Currently, I serve as a Board Director of our parent company, Bartleet & Co, while also holding directorship positions in various subsidiary companies within the Bartleet Group.
During my tenure, I had the privilege of serving as a Board Member of Transparency International Sri Lanka—an organization committed to advocating for accountability systems across the political, public, private, and community sectors, with the aim of combating corruption.
I am deeply passionate about giving back to the community, a value that resonates throughout the operations of the Bartleet Group. Our purpose, “To Connect. To Build,” underscores our commitment to transforming lives every day. I also proudly hold the position of Chairman at Bartleet Macklai Roy, Sri Lanka’s pioneering money broking company.
Furthermore, I had the opportunity to contribute as a past Board Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID), which serves as a crucial focal point for promoting effective governance practices within boardrooms across Sri Lanka.
